Multi-Signed Bat with 49 Hall of Famer Signatures!

Starting Bid - $1,000.00, Sold For - $3,480.00

Hall of Fame commemorative bat, produced by the Cooperstown Bat Co., signed in blue Sharpie by the following forty-nine Hall of Fame players: Mantle, T. Williams, Carew, Berra, Wynn, Kaline, F. Robinson, Reese, Slaughter, Perry, McCovey, Koufax, Bench, Wilhelm, Lemon, Kiner, Snider, Appling, Brock, Hunter, Spahn, Doerr, B. Gibson, Aparicio, Mays, B. Williams, Roberts, Musial, Sutton, Mize, Marichal, Niekro, Irvin, Stargell, Conlan, Feller, Herman, Ferrell, Gomez, Dandridge, Kell, Yastrzemski, Schoendienst, Boudreau, B. Robinson, Drysdale, Banks, Carlton and Ford. The signatures are all boldly penned, averaging "9," and the bat is in Near Mint condition. Bats such as these were a labor of love for a few extremely dedicated collectors during the 1970s/80s, many of whom probably recall waiting in long lines at signing shows to obtain most of the signatures. Unfortunately, bringing a bat from show to show, or to events of any kind, was rarely as convenient as bringing a baseball or a photograph. That, combined with the fact that some players were reluctant to sign bats at appearances, has resulted in spectacular examples with this number of Hall of Fame signatures being quite rare. The offered bat has been very well cared for. It is stunning in appearance and ideal for display. Nearly half of the forty-nine signers are now deceased. This is an exceptional signed Hall of Fame bat and one with more than enough room to add the signatures of future Cooperstown inductees. LOAs from James Spence/JSA and Steve Grad, Mike Gutierrez & Zach Rullo/PSA DNA. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000/$4,000. SOLD FOR $3,480.00
