1951 and 1956 National League All-Star Team-Signed Balls + 1957 Stars (3)

Offered here are two individual National League All-Star team-signed balls, dating from 1951 and 1956 respectively, as well as a third multi-signed ball dating from the late 1950s. 1) 1951 N. L. All-Star Ball: twenty-eight blue ink signatures on a moderately soiled ball (appears to be an ONL ball, but the manufacturer's stampings are badly faded) including Jackie Robinson ("7"), Spahn, Ashburn, Campanella ("6"), Kiner, Snider, Musial (sweet spot), Roberts, Schoendienst, Slaughter, Reese, Maglie, Jansen (sweet spot), Edwards, Newcombe (twice), Westlake, Elliott, Blackwell, Bengough (coach), Cooke (coach), Wyrostek, Ennis, W. Jones, Dark, Leonard, Hodges and one other (illegible). Signatures range from "3" to "7," averaging "6." The erroneous blue ink notation "1949 National Leg. All Stars" appears on the ball label. Very Good to Excellent condition. 2) 1956 N. L. All-Star Ball: twenty-one blue ink signatures on an off-white official American League (Harridge) ball including Banks, Campanella ("9/10"), Musial, Roberts, Snider (twice), Bailey, Lawrence, Bell, Nuxhall, Antonelli, Lopata, Gilliam, Long, Repulski, McMillan, Boyer, Labine, Kluszewski, Friend, one other (illegible). Signatures range from "6" to "10," averaging "8." Near Mint condition. 3) Circa 1957 Multi-Signed Ball: lightly toned and soiled official National League (Giles) ball signed in blue ink by twenty-one former National League stars: Ernie Banks, Roy Campanella ("9"), Eddie Mathews, Red Schoendienst, Stan Musial, Willie Mays, Duke Snider, Pee Wee Reese, Gil Hodges, Gene Baker, Frank Smith, Joe Nuxhall, Gus Bell, Hank Sauer, Al Dark, Stan Hack (sweet spot), Ted Kluszewski (sweet spot), Whitey Lockman, Bobby Thomson, Carl Furillo and Andy Pafko. The blue-ink notation "Stars 1957" is printed atop the ball label. The signatures are all fairly uniform in grade, averaging "9." Very Good to Excellent condition. LOAs from James Spence/JSA and Steve Grad, Mike Gutierrez & Zach Rullo/PSA DNA. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000.
