1955 Topps #123 Sandy Koufax PSA NM 7

Starting Bid - $200.00, Sold For - $1,160.00

Graded NM 7 by PSA. Magnificent high-grade example of Sandy Koufax's rookie card. The 1955 Topps Koufax rookie (#123) is the second most valuable card in that year's set, second only to Roberto Clemente's rookie card in the high-number series. Bright, crisp, and clean, with four sharp corners, perfect centering, and perfect registration. Only a few printing specs in the yellow background, which is so common to this card, keep this gem from a higher grade. Usually this card is offered by Robert Edward Auctions only in the context of a complete set, but we are presenting this modern classic as its own lot specifically to illustrate and emphasize that, with patience, some of card collecting's most interesting and noteworthy cards are possible to collect in extremely high grade on a relatively modest budget. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$600. SOLD FOR $1,160.00
