Billy Martin Endorsed NY Yankees Paycheck and Signed Photograph

Two signed Billy Martin items: 1) Yankees payroll check dated "Sept. 29, 1986" endorsed on the reverse by Martin ("8/9") in blue ballpoint pen. Normal bank cancellation marks and stamps on the reverse do not affect the signature. Near Mint condition. 2) Glossy photo (8 x 10 inches) signed in blue Sharpie marker features Martin during one of his several tenures as Yankee skipper. The signature grades a "7/8." The photo is in Near Mint to Mint condition. Billy Martin was one of baseball's most fascinating characters and will always be remembered for his fiery personality, both on and off the field. Martin won the Most Valuable Player Award in the 1953 World Series, batting .500, with twelve hits, two home runs, and a series-leading eight RBIs. He went on to manage in Detroit, Texas, Oakland, and, most notably, in New York. Martin was hired and fired five times during his career as the skipper for the Bronx Bombers. Total 2 items.
