Starting Bid - $400.00, Sold For - $5,800.00

This Official American League (Harridge) baseball is boldly signed on the sweet spot in black ink by pitcher Tom Zachary ("9"). Zachary played from 1918 to 1936 for the A's, Senators, Browns, Yankees, Braves, Dodgers, and Phillies. Zachary is an extremely rare single-signed ball. In fact, this is the first single-signed Zachary ball we have ever seen. Zachary passed away in 1969. The ball has been coated with a layer of protective shellac which has slightly yellowed with age, some light fading to the manufacturer's stampings, otherwise in overall about Excellent condition. LOAs from Mike Gutierrez/GAI and James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA. Reserve $400. Estimate $800/$1,200. SOLD FOR $5,800.00
