1912 A. G. Spalding, Tris Speaker & Johnny Evers Autographed Baseball

Starting Bid - $400.00, Sold For - $3,190.00

1912 American League baseball (no markings visible, but has been identified by the stitching) autographed by A. G. Spalding, Tris Speaker, John J. Evers, Joe Wood and Bill Klem. These signatures were all "gone over" long ago. Notations, above Spalding's signature, appear to us to read as follows: "Oct 12, 1912 World Series, Boston 5, New York 4" but there is a significant scrape by the numbers "5" and "4." Shellacking has caused the ball to somewhat darken over time, but all signatures and notations are easily read. Very interesting ball and a fine alternative to acquiring a virtually impossible to obtain A.G. Spalding signature on a baseball. Minor faults but still about Vg-Ex. LOAs from Mike Gutierrez/GAI and James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA. Reserve $400. Estimate $800/$1,200. SOLD FOR $3,190.00
