1933 Goudey #154 Jimmie Foxx PSA NM-MT 8

Starting Bid - $2,500.00, Sold For - $9,280.00

Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. One of thirteen examples graded at this level with none graded higher. An imposing physical specimen with bulging muscles, Jimmie Foxx was more than just a slugger. In his prime he challenged Babe Ruth's single-season home run record, won three MVP awards, and the Triple Crown. He won two World Series titles with Connie Mack's Athletics, and retired as the second leading home run hitter of all time with 534 homers. This 1933 Goudey #154 Jimmie Foxx has four sharp corners and is centered toward the left border (35/65 L/R), with flawless colors, and a very bold image. Even the yellow background is bright and perfect with no fade, providing ideal contrast to Foxx's image. The card is perfectly clean both front and back. This is a very high grade example of one of the most popular and classic cards of one of the most highly collected Hall of Famers, legendary slugger Jimmie Foxx. SMR value is $8,000. Reserve $2,500. Estimate $5,000/$8,000. SOLD FOR $9,280.00
