1915 T214 Victory Tobacco Buck Herzog PSA VG-EX 4

Starting Bid - $300.00, Sold For - $2,320.00

The 1915 T214 Victory set is an obscure series of tobacco cards, issued exclusively in the Louisiana area, which is sometimes mistaken for the T206 "White Border" set. Victory Tobacco is one of the few sets which feature players from the Federal League, in addition to featuring players from the National and American Leagues. Offered is a rare sample card of Buck Herzog of Cincinnati. Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA, this is an outstanding and particularly attractive example in all respects, which looks to us to at least qualify for consideration of a grade of Excellent condition. Victory Tobacco cards have a glossy coated surface which is very susceptible to creasing, and which makes a high-grade examples such as this particularly rare. This is a very attractive example, with absolutely no creases. The front is bright and clean with vibrant colors. The reverse is also very clean, which is ideal for a sample of this rare issue. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $2,320.00
