1914 B18 Blankets George Moriarty & George Tyler Red Infields (2)

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $1,972.00

Two extremely rare 1914 B18 "Red Infield" variations: 1) George Moriarty of Detroit, A. L. Serious miscut with extremely large border lower left, and no brown border in upper right, otherwise Ex-Mt; and 2) George Tyler of Boston, N.L. Bright and clean on front, with slight "rough cut," as is sometimes the case with B18s, and some outline darkening on reverse as occasionally seen, most likely related to its original packaging with tobacco, but slightly more pronounced than usually seen, and with small remnants of paper glued in all four corners of reverse, from long ago being mounted in an album. The front of the blanket is Ex. Total 2 blankets. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $1,972.00
