Lefty Grove Single-Signed Baseball

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $1,380.00

Official National League (Frick) baseball is boldly signed on the sweet spot by Hall of Famer Lefty Grove ("7/8"). One of baseball's fiercest competitors, Lefty Grove was an integral part of the Philadelphia Athletics dynasty of 1929-31. He won an astounding nine ERA titles and led his league in wins four times, registering a lifetime total of exactly 300 wins. Grove singles are very scarce. Grove passed away in 1975, before collecting Hall of Famers on single-signed baseballs became the universally recognized ideal. This is an extremely crisp and clean, perfectly preserved ball, off-white and in Near Mint to Mint condition. LOAs from Mike Gutierrez/GAI and James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $1,380.00
