1973-75 Hank Aaron Game-Used Bat

Starting Bid - $1,500.00, Sold For - $3,450.00

Hank Aaron Hillerich & Bradsby model A99 game-used bat dates from 1973-75. This bat is from a very significant era for Aaron, of course, because it was during this period that he closed in on and surpassed Ruth's record of 714 lifetime home runs to become baseball's all-time home-run champion. The bat has a cracked handle and shows evidence of outstanding game use with ball marks visible on the barrel. Aaron's player number "44" appears on the knob and barrel end in black marker in the correct "open four" style that is common to authentic Aaron gamers. An ideal Hank Aaron game-used bat dating from the most celebrated years of his glorious career. Length: 35 inches. Weight: 32 ounces. SCD Authentic Grade: A7.5. LOAs from Dave Bushing & Dan Knoll/SCD Authentic and John Taube & Vince Malta/PSA DNA. Reserve $1,500. Estimate $3,000/$5,000. SOLD FOR $3,450.00
