1959 Chicago "Go-Go" White Sox Team-Signed Baseball

Starting Bid - $1,500.00, Sold For - $1,955.00

Official American League (Cronin) ball flawlessly signed by 25 members of the 1959 Chicago White Sox. This is an incredible example of an extremely rare Championship team-signed ball. Boldly signed in blue ink and featuring four Hall of Famers, signatures include: Al Lopez (sweet spot), Nelson Fox, Early Wynn, Luis Aparicio (signed opposite sweet spot over OAL stamp identity), Ted Kluszewski, Billy Pierce, Cash, Staley, Phillips, Torgeson, Lollar, Landis, Esposito, Shaw, Goodman, Latman, Lown, McAnany, Romano, Cuccinello, Battey, Gutteridge, etc. In 1959, the "Go-Go Sox" finished ahead of the Yankees and everyone else in the AL. Chicago faced the Dodgers in the World Series, but lost in six games. The Series loss was disappointing, but it could not overshadow a tremendously successful season. Fox took the AL Most Valuable Player Award, with Aparicio and Wynn finishing second and third in the voting. Wynn captured the AL Cy Young Award as the league's best pitcher, compiling a 22-10 record. Kluszewski hit three homers and drove in 10 runs during the World Series. The team finished the year with an impressive record of 94-60. This is one of the rarest and most desirable of all Championship team balls. Top quality 1959 White Sox team balls just don't often show up. The signatures are essentially flawless, grading a near perfect "10" overall. The ball is in Mint condition. This example is by far the best we have ever seen and would definitely be a worthy addition to the most advanced and serious Championship team-signed ball collection. LOAs from Mike Gutierrez/GAI and James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA. Reserve $1,500. Estimate $3,000/$5,000. SOLD FOR $1,955.00
