Roger Maris Single-Signed Baseball

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $1,955.00

Rawlings Official American League (MacPhail) baseball is magnificently signed by Roger Maris ("9") in blue ink on a side panel. The ball is perfectly clean, with some natural toning commonly found on 1970s era baseballs due to the chemicals used by Rawlings at that time on the horsehide. The ball has a very thin application of protective spray over the signature panel that can only even be detected when held at the right angle in the proper light. The manufacturer's stampings have very slightly faded (all are perfectly legible, just not bold), otherwise the ball is in extraordinary Near Mint condition. This ball displays beautifully and is one of the most impressive Maris singles that we have ever seen. LOAs from Mike Gutierrez/GAI and James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000. SOLD FOR $1,955.00
